Neither the author of this article nor the guy in the second video actually gives any data or analysis applicable to the device in the first video.

See, here's the thing: we don't have to! The inability to make a perpetual motion machine using permanent magnets is well-established, and the burden of proof is on the creator of such a device to explain how it works and how it gets around experimentally-observed science for decades. Strange, though: this post was written two years ago, and I've seen absolutely no scientific reports or public tests of this amazing device.

Also the author mentions several times “conservation of energy” and “thermodynamics” laws, but does not apply those concepts to explain how the device could not work.

Again, why should I? I have a day job, and certainly don't have time to debunk the torrent of perpetual motion schemes that have been proposed. For the same reason, patent offices around the world and all reputable scientific organizations have refused to bother with such claims without being presented with a testable, working model. That hasn't happened, has it?

...a trail of distracting mini history lessons.

Have you heard the phrase, "Those who ignore the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them"? History is important, and every new perpetual motion advocate ignores lessons to be learned from hundreds of years of failed attempts. You might try reading some history of the subject; you might even learn something.

Neither the author of this article nor the guy in the second video actually gives any data or analysis applicable to the device in the first video. The author's diagram does not reflect the structure of the device in the video. Also the author mentions several times "conservation of energy" and "thermodynamics" laws, but does not apply those concepts to explain how the device could not work. Thus no analysis has taken place in this article, only emotional oversimplification ( just like the second video guy ) and a trail of distracting mini history lessons.

Great balanced post you wrote.

Regarding the whipmag device (I wrote the post you referenced to at the top of post). The concept is what I found fascinating.

The purpose of the post I wrote was to provoke debate, to engage people, and more importantly, to let people know by spreading the word that such energy devices could be the generation of tomorrow's energy source.

The whipmag is a perfectly plausible device in my honest opinion, one which requires more research and development. Truth be known, we know this won't happen any time soon, thanks to the oil barons.

Free energy devices have been suppressed for decades, it is up to the reader to do the research themselves and seek their own truth.

Some pointers include Joe cell Device, Cold Electricity (Linderman), wireless electricity (Tesla), h20, air car, etc etc. I could go on. You get the drift.

The truth is out there, and the whipmag device could be the key to unlocking that truth

Regards

Well reasoned response. There are some subtle differences between WhipMag and the examples you cite. But at least you have given the concept some thought.

Thanks,
