CNN’s current headline, as I write this: “President Bush takes part in commemorative tree planting.” This is listed as a “Live, developing story.”

Maybe CNN is hoping there will be some exciting development during the tree planting. It wouldn’t be the first time Bush participated in something and fucked it up royally!
“It wouldn’t be the first time Bush participated in something and fucked it up royally!”
Indeed. We’ll probably find he’s asking for new, sweepingly unconstitutional powers of surveillance in order to properly assess the effectiveness of tree planting…
I’m sure his press secretary (is it still Perino – I try to shield myself from exposure to any of their propaganda) will tout this as evidence of his support of the environment!
My gym plays “Fox & Friends” in the morning. (Doesn’t that just sound like the cutest children’s program? “Why, yes, Mrs. Fox, I would love a crumpet…”)
Anyway, they kept recurring to a video clip of a gibbon pulling a German Shepherd’s tail. Truly edgy journalism!
