Electromagnetic Optics is available!

This post will only be relevant to a small portion of my audience, but I wanted to announce that my latest textbook Electromagnetic Optics is now available!

That link is for the e-book, which is already available; the print book will apparently be available after February 28th, if anyone is interested.

This is my upper-level undergraduate/intro-level graduate textbook on optical physics directly associated with Maxwell’s equations, which includes not only standard topics like polarization, Fresnel formulas, and anisotropic media, but also modern topics like metamaterials, plasmonics, and optical tweezing!

This was very much a labor of love for me and I consider it my best textbook to date, considering it is my third and I’ve finally kinda figured out how to write textbooks properly.

Anyway, here ends the announcement — more blog stuff to come in the future…
