Fake Book Titles Extravaganza, Part 10!

It’s time to compile all my fake book titles from social media again!  You can see compilation 1compilation 2compilation 3compilation 4compilation 5compilation 6compilation 7compilation 8 and compilation 9 at the links.

It’s been a while again since I last posted a compilation of fake book titles (photoshopped and created by me) that I share on social media! I finally have done enough again to make a blog post. Politics is still on my mind a LOT so a lot of these are very topical…

The first one here was definitely a MOOD.

Original title: The Red Badge of Courage, by Stephen Crane

Did you know that J.D. Vance had a memoir come out recently? Even though it is hilarious enough that the book is about his Catholic faith and shows a non-Catholic church on the cover, I thought it could use more “zing.”

Original title: Communion, by J.D. Vance

Some covers really capture my psychological state so well!

Original title: A Wizard of Earthsea, by Ursula K. Le Guin

Let me add one from the archives that became very relevant due to a recent very popular movie!

Original title: The Odyssey, by Homer

Fortunately not all fake book titles are topical and based on current events — there are enough silly covers to inspire me still.

Original title: The Silent Speaker, by Rex Stout

… and then we’re right back to the nonsense related to current events!

Original title: Male Magazine

This next one will come with an explanatory gif afterwards, inspired by an… incident at the funeral of a Senator.

Original title: Mr. Parker Pyne, Detective, by Agatha Christie

And here’s the relevant gif!

Aaaand another topical political one:

Original title: The First Golden Geography

We lost too many good people recently, which inspired this cover (apologies to the late great Terry Pratchett).

Original title: Reaper Man, by Terry Pratchett

In memory of Tim Curry, here’s my favorite thing he’s done, and he’s done a LOT of stuff I LOVE:

And, finally, I offer a sincere thank you to authors who are bringing back the retro over-the-top murder mystery covers, which are the most fun to work with!

Original title: Are Snakes Necessary? by Brian De Palma and Susan Lehman

Okay, that’s this roundup! Hopefully more to come soon, or at least sooner than a year away!
